Recycling plastic bottles has many advantages to it, which include:
- The oil which would normally be used to make plastic could be used for other purposes, such as appliances.
- Plastic is not biodegradable, which means that it does not decompose over time, meaning it will remain in our land fills forever.
- The factories that produce plastic emit harmful carbon dioxide which contributes to the greenhouse effect.
- The energy put into making plastic could be used for producing other products, conserving energy.
All in all, plastic is nothing but harmful to the environment, and all though it may be useful and cheap, recycling plastic bottles will greatly benefit the environment and is the way to go.
