No one really knows why some plants survived ,but the dinosaurs didn't. actually scientists think that a meteor didn't kill off the life on earth because the layer in the earth that's supposed to be full of dinosaur skeletons isn't, not at all. they think that something killed off the dinosaurs before the meteor came maybe volcanic eruptions or floods or a disease. No one can know for sure what killed the dinosaurs, but something did and we don't know what it was.
Plants can often store energy in their root system and go dormant during a disaster. Then, when conditions allow, they can grow back. For other plants, seeds they left behind could have stayed alive, waiting to germinate until conditions improved.
Because they were small and required less food than the dinosaurs. Also they were able to eat a larger variety than most dinosaurs.
Because for the dinosaurs to survive they needed a food chain. If there were no herbivores then all the carnivores would starve to death.
No, dinosaus became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous Period. They ended up dying because the dust was so bad that it changed the weather, which changed the temperature and the way plants grow, which eventually killed off the dinosaurs.
Dinosaurs survived by eating other dinosaurs or plants.
I think some plants actually survived because they were able to adapt to cooler climates and the ones that became extinct couldn't. One of the survivng Late Cretaceous flowering plants is the Magnolia.
Dinosaurs did not die out because of plants. They died out because of a lack of plants after an asteroid impact blocked out sunlight for months or years. With all the plants dead, the dinosaurs starved.
Dinosaurs
First of all, dinosaurs are extinct. Approximatively 65 million years ago, the dinosaurs became extinct by what most people believe was a large meteorite which hit Earth and caused an Ice Age. Ash and dust covered the sun causing the Ice Age. Secondly, dinosaurs did not eat chocolate (chocolate was not in that time period) They ate other dinosaurs and plants depending on if they were carnivorous or herbivorous.
Many of the forest plants became completely extinct in the Cenozoic Era. However, the plants that thrive today became rooted during this period.
There are plenty of other insects that pollinate plants apart from bees so the plants would survive.
there would only be plants
crocodiles lived because they lived in water and crocodiles had amour plates on it's back
At the time of the dinosaurs, most large animals were reptiles and the dominant trees were conifers. Today, most large reptiles have been long extinct, and most large animals are mammals. The dominant plants are now flowering plants.
all of the plants would die and the grass and the trees
