Well... some wolves, like the maned wolf, are extinct, killed by humans, as well as some, like the timber wolf, which are endangered. There are only roughly 150,000 timber wolves left, so they are close to extinction (as people shoot at LEAST 150 a day altogether) but are not quite yet extinct.
