our out back when we test drove it (( used )) we noticed a smell of gas I inspected the fuel lines and they had lil rubber lines in between the metal lines that were loose i tightened them up((after getting the used car salesman to drop his price by 800 dollars )) and havent had a problem since
Where is the the vent tube for the transmission located on a 2001 Subaru forester
The transmission vent is plugged with debris.
I think the concept is similar to a more basic car's turn knob. The heater retains the last heat setting used, you're merely switching the fan off. My 2008 does the same.
Classic "air bound". Start engine, leave off rad cap, turn heater all the way up, open plastic vent on opposite side of radiator, and slowly fill with coolant.
To test for a blocked vent, plug the sink or tub. Put at least 2 inches of water over the plug. If the smell ceases, you have a blocked vent. The smell is caused by methane gas, which can cause many health issues.
Normal it means your leaking antifreeze from somewhere. Check your levels and look on the ground, some times the vent system can pull in the smell. Check the hoses. Also it can be a leak in the heater core. If so it can be exspensive to replace, mostly because the whole dash normally needs to come out to get to it.
There is a very small leak in the heater core that is collecting in the vent system and is evaporating out when you turn the heater on. The smell is from the antifreeze in the water.
Check your spark plugs and spark plug wires. One may be bad. Do you smell gas if you turn your fresh air vent on?
to remove the clock you have to remove the whole air vent and console compartment, there are 3 clips at the top holding it in, i just pryed from both bottom corners to get the bottom out and wiggled and the top followed. Then there are various screws holing the clock in from behind.
check your furnace or kitchen.
there could be a dead animal in your vent
Glade, Febreeze, vent clips.
