well, if you pay really close attention to the book while your reading it, the stuff on the cover is there. like in twilight, edward says "twilight is the best part of [the day], but it's also the worst." or something like that, and the apple on the cover- in the cafeteria he catches the apple for her when she drops it.

In the 2nd book, she says "it was very dark tonigh-maybe a new moon." or something... i don't know what the rest of the cover stuff is, but u could probably find it somewhere online...

that answer was wrong. in new moon there is a deeper meaning in the title but you have to read eclipse to get it. *SPOILERS*in eclipse when Bella goes to visit Jacob when he has been injured, she says to him that Edward is the moon in her life and that Jacob is her sun so the title of new moon means that instead of Edward there is someone else that she loves, and that could possibly take his place as her moon.

The ribbon that often appears on the cover of Eclipse is used as a design element to enhance the aesthetics of the book and make it more visually appealing. It can also serve a practical purpose, allowing readers to easily bookmark their place in the book.

i think that the ribbon could have multiple meanings. the first is if you look closely, you see that the ribbon is still connected by 2 small strings. My theory is that these strings symbolize Edward and Jacob. I think the ribbon is symbolizes her human life (which is most reacently been symbolized in red) I think that this must mean that the only this keeping her human like together is those two threads. Its also whats tearing it a part. And its also the only strands left

just some things to think about!

********************************************************************

I think the cover symbolizes that Bella seems to not be able to let go of her human life. The ribbon is connected by two strings. She is desperately trying to hold onto her human life, and Jacob, and her new life, Edward.

No!!! The long end is edward, the short end is Jacob, and Bella is the strands in between!!! She finally finds out that she loves Jacob too, so she's Torn.

Eclipse by Stephinie Meyer is the book after New Moon in the Twilight saga. There are 4 books, and they are in this sequence: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn. Twilight has the apple in a person's hands on the cover, New Moon has a white flower with red around the edges, Eclipse has a red ribbon on the cover (the ribbon is breaking) and Breaking Dawn had a chessboard with a white Queen chess piece and a red pawn back behind it.
