∙ 13y agoas the gall bladder becomes increasingly inflamed, it begns to irritate the diaphragm. the diaphragm is innervated by spinal nerves C3, 4 and 5. these nerves travel from the shoulder area and so pain gets referred along the nerve fibres to the c3,4 and 5 dermatomes area.
