In 1902, the company reorganized as the American Cycle Company, but then in 1903 it failed again. In 1904, The Pope Manufacturing Co., one of the founding members of the American Bicycle Company took over and reorganized the company. This time the company lasts until 1915 before filing for bankruptcy. It then becomes the Westfield Manufacturing Company in 1916, is renamed the Columbia Manufacturing Company in 1961 and then filed for bankruptcy in 1987. The company is still in business primarily manufacturing school furniture. They make a few reproduction bikes in the same Westfield, MASS factory that was used since 1905, but most Columbia branded bicycles are imported from Asia.
