The oxygen atom attracts more electrons as it has a higher positive charge making that half of the molecule slightly negative. This leaves the Hydrogen atoms with less electrons making them slightly positive. This difference in charge is enough for the molecule to be considered polar like a magnet.

Water is polar because it has a negative part (the oxygen) and two positive parts (each hydrogen), and these charges are separated in space because the shape of the molecule is bent.

The actual answer should be an anion which are polar species.

What causes water to be a polor molecule?

Oxygen is a highly electronegative element that draws electrons towards itself causing an imbalance of charge and hence polarity.

Why is a water molecule considered to be a polar molecule?

A water molecule is considered a polar molecule because of its shape. That is, its poles contain opposing charges, the positive and negative charge.

The water molecule is polar.

The chemical formula of water is H2O.

What kind of geometry do water molecule go along with?

A water molecule is considered to be V(or bent) shape.

Is water a part of sugar molecule?

No, A sugar molecule has hydrogen and oxygen in it, but it is by no means water. It has to be a separate compound to be considered water.

What kind of water is in the polor region?

The water in the polar regions is mainly frozen freshwater in the form of icebergs, glaciers, and sea ice. The saltwater in the polar regions is found in the surrounding oceans.

How do polor molecules form hydrogen bonds?

The slightly negative end of one polar molecule will be attracted to the slightly positive, hydrogen end of another molecule.
