Bad head gasket? Oil mixing with coolant?
If the smoke is coming from the exhaust then it's coolant. If its not turning over then it could be hydrolocked from a coolant leak.
coolant leaking into the engine
White smoke out of the exhaust means that there is coolant getting into the combustion chamber. Usually due to a bad head gasket.
Sounds like engine coolant is getting into an engine cylinder
sounds like you have head gasket problem if the exhaust smoke is white in colour then its engine coolant if its blue smoke then its burning oil you will need to get the engine pressure tested at a garage.
white smoke from diesel exhaust generally means you have engine coolant leaking internally in enginevery rarely , white smoke can indicate a problem with the turbo
White smoke is a sign of water going through your engine, and is normally caused by a leaking head gasket or cracked head. Check your coolant level. If it is low, find a good repair shop.
Black smoke is overly rich fuel/air mixture. Blue smoke is oil burning. White smoke is coolant in the combustion chamber. I have never seen green smoke coming from an auto exhaust. The only thing I would suspect is that this is coolant in the combustion chamber caused by a blown head gasket. If it smells sweet and you are loosing coolant with no apparent leak, then you have a blown head gasket or cracked head.
white smoke is coming from my exhaust why?
White smoke from the exhaust pipe is a sign of coolant entering the combustion chamber. Commonly caused by a blown head gasket. STOP driving this vehicle until you have this repaired or you will destroy this engine.
the smoke that comes out of a exhaust pipe is supposed to be white
Engine oil mixing with coolant and/or coolant mixing with engine oil.Losing coolant but don't see any leaks. White smoke (steam) coming out the exhaust that has a sweet smell to it.
