Your hamster is suppose to be placed in room temperature. Never put or wash them on water because they get cold easily. U should use chinchilla dust. It's a sand bath. When you put them on the floor, the temperature is colder there. You should put it on a table or the carpet.
Actually hamsters are nocturnal but rarely do they sleep at night and if yours does then you're lucky because most nocturnal hamsters are up till maybe 5:00 or 6:00 a.m and run their wheel continuously!
Take that hamster to a vet NOW! have you dropped it at all you may have paralyzed it. Just take it to the VET!
