the bolts inside of trunk holding plastic bumper have rubber washers that go bad from over tightening and they will leak there. fixed my Seville with gasket sealer and new washers.
My trunk is leaking. If it's raining, water come in when I open the trunk to load groceries or whatever.
Check the rear window washer resivoir.
The lid seal is compromised. It'll have to be replaced.
If it is leaking through the crack next to the soft/hard top just put some sealant there and it should be fine.
It can be the trunk lid seal, power antenna drain tube leaking, or in rare cases, the rear window leaking. Crawl in the trunk with a flashlight and have someone spray the rear with a garden hose. You will then be able to find the leak.
Does your jetta have a rear spoiler? I was told that mine was leaking like that and that the spoiler was leaking. I haven't fixed it yet though.
your back window or the trunk rubber is leaking. see if you can talk a small friend into going in the trunk with a flashlight and take a garden hose and literally soak the rear of the car.i had the same problem and mine was the rear window was leaking on both sides from the top
Try cleaning out the drains on the corners and make sure the drain tubes are clear. Otherwise, replace the seals.
The most likely cause is the trunk gasket leaks. I have had water in the truck from a rear window seal leaking also.
The fuel pump reset switch is in the trunk, on the left side, behind the trunk liner. (There is a hole that you can access it from.) Tips: - If you don't smell gas or see any gas leaking, push the reset button down that has popped up on the top of the switch. - Turn your ignition key to the RUN position for a few seconds, then turn your ignition key to the OFF position. - Check if it is leaking gas, or smells like it just to make sure, and if it isn't leaking or smelling like gas, go ahead and start the engine.
leaking sap is for a cherry tree like a fever for a child, meaning its a general sign something is wrong but not enough to know what. is the tree old? is it getting enough fertilizer and water? do you see sawdust on the ground? do you see a sparkeling dew like drops on the leaves? do you see any insects? anything else which wasnt there before?
First , the switch is located in the trunk on the drivers side , either on a bracket beside the left side trunk hinge or it's behind the trunk liner - if you don't see any gas leaking or smell gas push the reset button down that has popped up on the top of the switch - turn your ignition key to the RUN position for a few seconds and then turn your ignition key to the OFF position - make another check for any gas leaking or the smell of gas , if none , go ahead and start the engine
