Because of gravity

Mass is a property of an object measured in kilograms. Weight is a unit of force measured in Newtons. On Earth a 1 kg mass weighs 10 N.

Because other planets have different masses they pull things towards them with a different strength. On the Moon 1kg weighs only a fraction of what it does on Earth (but it still has the same mass). This is because the Moon has a lower mass than the Earth (and therefore a smaller gravitational field).

The forces of gravity between two objects depend on both of their masses. The

force that I call my "weight" depends on both the mass of me and the mass of the

Earth. When I take the mass of me to another planet, the other mass is different,

so the forces of gravity between me and the other mass are also different from

what they were on Earth.

Weight is another way of saying Gravity. Gravity is a force determined by the mass of the two objects in proximity to each other, and to the distance between them. If you go to another planet that has more or less mass than Earth, the gravitational force you feel will be different.

How much you weigh depends on your mass, the mass of the planet, and the distance you are from the center of the planet.

Since the various planets in our Solar System are different sizes, you will weigh less or more depending on the planet you are on.

"Weight" is a function of the gravity generated by a planet.

On Earth, your weight is the effect of one "G" or one gravity. On the planet Mercury, which has a much smaller mass, a person weighing 150 pounds would only weigh 56.7 pounds because of the reduced planetary mass.

Because gravities are different on other planets which will affect your weight.

What is the force that makes your weight change on different planets?

Gravity

Why do forces change on different planets and moons?

Because the mass of the planet - its weight and size - create different degrees of gravity.

What force makes your weight change on planets?

The pull of gravity. Gravity is different on every planet so, it causes your weight to fluctuate.

Why would you wigh differently on different planets?

Different mass means different gravity meaning your weight would change. For example divide your weight by six-that's what you would weigh on the Moon.

Why is weight different on different planets and the moon?

Some planets have less gravity or more gravity.More gravity giving you more weight and less giving you less weight.

Is mass the same where you go?

an objects mass is always the same but the weight can change because on different planets, the gravitational pull is different. so, yes

Why can a soda weigh different on different planets?

soda weighs differently on different planets because the planets gravitational pull makes the mass of the soda and the weight change because of pressure and different gravitational pull they could also make the soda explode because o fpressure and carbonation

How will the mass of a 70 kg man change if he is standing on Jupiter?

Mass doesn't change no matter what planet you go to. Weight is what changes since the acceleration due to gravity of different planets are different.

Does your mass change on the planets?

Your mass stays the same no matter where you are. Your weight will change.

Why do people have different weight on different planets or on the moon?

People have different weight on different planets or the moon due to variations in gravitational pull. Gravity is weaker on the moon and certain planets compared to Earth, resulting in a person weighing less. Weight is a measure of the gravitational force acting on an object, so it changes based on the strength of gravity.

Does gravity affect your weight on different planets?

yes it does

Is mass larger on bidder planets or smaller?

Mass does not change with gravity. Weight increases on BIGGER planets and decreases on smaller planets.
