Why isn't morning called beforenoon?

Think about it, how silly would it sound, going around saying Good Beforenoon instead of Good Morning, and try singing 'Beforenoon has broken', doesn't quite scan does it.

And should we change afternoon to 'Beforenight', or even night to 'The Time of Dark Beforenoon.
