Why isn't weed illegal?

i think that its pretty messed up....because i am a senior and yes i do smoke and i think that if you are 18 that you should be allowed to smoke outside away from school at certain times, and for the states to take that away is discrimination. Its discriminatioon against ppl who do smmoke, smoking ciggs are not ILLEGAL!!!!!Its not like we are out here doing severe drugs(well some may be but I AM NOT)anyways my point is i think they should do away with that law because if they don't we still going to keep smoking at school and end up getting in trouble....and yeah you guys who may read this may be thinking i am dumb for even starting to smoke but it actually calms my nerves....i am going to push the fact that they make it legal to smoke at school again!!! AND YOU CANT EVEN BREATH IN THE AIR WITHOUT GETTING TAR OR DISEASES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

smoking is not illegal because the tobacco industry is the most money making industry in the world.

Too many jobs in Tobacco Control rely on smoking. Their sponsors and funders, the pharmaceutical industry, make billions on their practically useless (and sometimes deadly) 'quit smoking' treatments and drugs. In the UK alone, over £10billion tax and duties are raised on tobacco. Discriminating against smokers is more 'politically correct' than on the grounds of ethnicity, sexuality, disability, etc.
