I don't think there is one. Actually, it's either 1 of 2 things: 1.Dragon Radar is a Z item 2. This is a known fact but when a dragon ball is revealed (via destroying things on the map in story mode) it will flash orange on the radar if dragon radar is equipped if not already.

You have to "dig" for them in story mode. Due to a lot of spaces, it helps to get the Dragon Radar. The dot marks where it is at, when the dot is in the middle of the Dragon Radar, you are on the right spot.
