So as not to make the same mistake again.
Because theories leave you hanging
New experimenatal data can lead to a better understanding of theories or can even disaprove them
Hypotheses are ideas which are, as yet, unsupported by evidence. As a hypothesis becomes backed up by mathematical formulae and observational data, it may, if it is sound, become a theory. All scientific theories began life as hypotheses, it is merely a case of which hypotheses become theories, and which fall down by the wayside after being discredited or having lacked support.
If used properly, theories are the first step to research which generally leads to the attainment of knowledge, even if the theory does not pan out.
A hypothesis is a proposed explanation of something. These are important because it helps test different ideas and theories for research to get more accurate results.
If a theory has been tested and doesn't work remembering that it didn't work saves time instead of redoing it as part of a study. It is better to do new things rather than to take old and useless information to use.
It was the first theory that said that the universe does not revolve around the Earth; instead we revolve around the sun. It discredited many people's theories and modern belief at the time. It is also the proven theory that we believe in today.

Darwin would not have known anything about genetics, which is why his theory was discredited initially, there was no mechanism for random mutation currently understood. On the other hand, the scientific evidence of the time supported Lamarck's theories, which with new understanding have been more or less discredited (ignoring neo-lamarckism and similar theories) which did not require any undiscovered mechanisms.
why is it important for educator to understand learning theories
why is it important to develop various theories of firm?
His argument was completely discredited.
Because theories leave you hanging
describe why theories are important; especially pertaining to criminal policy implementation and development.
It's not. Unless you need to to pass a class, in which case it is most important. It's far more important to study modern economics. While looking at what Aristotle or Malthus thought about the economy can be interesting and enlightening, their theories are largely discredited; it will not do much good in helping you understand the world. It's like trying to get a good model of the universe by studying Newton. He was revolutionary, but you will be better off learning modern physics, which happens to be largely based on Newton's work. Economics has had too many cranks and discredited theorists to waste your time studying its past. Unless that's what you want to do, of course.

Charles Darwin has not been discredited. He was and still is regarded as perhaps the greatest scientist that has ever lived.
