Why must the glassware be dry before beginning and experiment?

Some experiments use chemicals and water, glassware for such experiments must not be dried. But glassware for the experiments that has no water in them must be drived, so water do not get in the reaction. E.g. in Grignard reactions, if water gets in a reaction, alkane will be produce instead of an alcohol. You will get not what you wanted. But if you will perform Acid-Base Reactions, in the end you will get water anyway, so extra water that was in the glassware will not change anything.

What must Experiments and investigations must be?

They must be repeatable

What are the safety precaution using laboratory glassware?

* Broken glass must be disposed of into specially designated bins and not into the normal waste bins. * Detergents are the normal means of cleaning glassware. More drastic methods such as the use of chromic acid should be used only when cleaning with detergents or solvents is inadequate and should be covered by a separate Risk Assessment. Beware of fire risk if using solvents to clean or dry. * Glass must never be stored on the floor. * Hot glassware should not be placed directly on bench, or it will break.

What makes a scientist right?

The scientist must propose an idea and document it with experiments that prove it. The experiments must be repeatable by others and the same result must be obtained by them

Why must the outcomes of experiments be repeatable?

The outcomes must be repeatable because if the outcome keeps changing, then something must have changed during one of the experiments, giving you the different outcome.

What are five elements of safety?

Safety has many parts. To be safe, you need to recognize safety sysmbols. You also must follow directions, be neat, use equiment correctly, and clean up after experiments. Hope that's right

Why must you do light experiments in dark rooms?

So you can see it better

Why do scientists repeat experiments?

Scientists repeat experiments for reliability. The experiment must be repeated for the scientist to develop a theory. One experiment does not prove your hypothesis correct; therefore, it must be done a several times.

What is the function of stand and clamp?

Also known as a Retort Stand, the Stand and Clamp is used to hold or support apparatus (equipment) during experiments.

Investigatory project in Chemistry?

Experiments provide answers to scientific hypotheses. Experiments must be closely controlled in order to come up with an accurate result.

Why must we wash our hands after experiments?

You must wash your hands after an experiment so you don't contaminate yourself with anything harmful.
