oxygen belongs tp chalcogen group and is a strong oxidising agent and it forms oxides with almost aal elements present on earth's crust.
Both processes require Oxygen. Rusting (I think) is where metal reacts with oxygen and moisture and becomes oxidises. Burning or combustion, ALWAYS needs Oxygen to occur. Hope this helps!
Burning is combustion, which is an oxidation reaction that requires oxygen. Therefore oxygen promotes burning, as it is a reactant in the reaction, and higher concentrations of a reactant will result in a faster rate of reaction (collision theory).
the candle will go out because oxygen helps in burning but a burning substance produces carbon dioxide but when we put a glass upon can carbon will heavier than oxygen and when oxygen will less candle will go out
Oxygen is part of the mixture of gases we breath. Therefore, burning wood uses the oxygen in the atmosphere.
The gas is Oxygen. It burns brighter because Oxygen supports combustion (aka helps other objects to burn).
Because chemical other than oxygen also boost burning rates.

Combustion (or burning) is the reaction between a fuel and any oxidant. So by definition burning requires oxygem, As to why oxygen supports burning because it is very reactive and when any when any chemical is oxidiesed it is an exothermic reaction
Oxygen is a necessary ingredient for burning.
Oxygen is the oxydant in the reaction of burning.
for burning to take place basically you need oxygen which will not directly take part in the combustion but will help sustain the burning, and most obviously you need a source of ignition : ) hope this helps : ) -melody <3
Oxygen is colourless, support burning but don't smell.
to stop oxygen for burning
