Homework is important because it exercises your mind. When you are in class, the teacher is directing your thinking process (that is, if you're paying attention). When you work on your own, it gives you a chance to direct your thinking in ways that are natural to you. An illustration might be the difference between four soldiers marching in order and those same four soldiers walking down the street, each in their own style.
Spending a little time on homework also expands your knowledge of a subject.

∙ 13y agoThe way the Human brain works, information is retained through repetition and being exposed to certain things more often. In the case of school, most teachers will ask you to read a text beforehand, which you will try to remember.
When you are in class, the text is discussed or questions asked, which repeats the knowledge again, with your brain remembering more.
Finally, homework means you read a text again, think about it and try to answer questions, which is your third exposure to the knowledge your teacher wants you to have.
This maximizes the chances of remembering study material and getting good grades.

Answer:
In a proper capitalist society children should be paid for doing chores and should be charged for food, clothing and other amenities. Most of these transactions are done essentially on a barter system - children get the food etc. they need and contribute (pay for them) by being useful around the house.

∙ 13y agoHomework gives students necessary practice in thinking, writing, comprehending, and problem-solving. As well, reading assignments and practice problems helps students develop self-skills so that they can apply the same steps used to find a solution to new situations in life. For example, all the sentence problems and logic questions in lower math classes help adults know whether 3 cans of soup being sold for $2.65 is more or less expensive than a sale of the same soup at 1 can for $1.25 with 1 more at half price.

no because they should already be hacing to do it if they do a good job and you think they deserve it then you may want ot it is up to you
Get a job. If you're too young, ask your parents if you can do chores for them and for your neighbors, like kids do on TV.
no
You are a part of the family are you not? Do you not litter and should clean up after yourself? What you call chores are things that needs to be done in a household and when old enough there is no reason why parents should do it all when they have been working all day. Everyone should help out where they can. Kids have it good because on some families they can even get paid to do chores. It's also a preparation for adult life so you know what needs to be done.
Well, if they are doing a job then they should get paid for that job.
Getting a small reward for doing your work is fine -- most kids get that reward by being happy with a better grade. Some kids need something extra -- set up something with your parents. I don't believe in getting paid with money, but getting paid with time is a good idea. If you do ___ hours of work, you get ___ hours of game time, for example.
i say no! how unfair!
Because the kids should be responsible and not have to be paid
It all depends on what they are doing.
