Why does mars seem like the most likely planet for humans to visit?

Scientists think it would be a good place to visit because there are signs that there was once life there and that it could be a place for humans to evacuate if something was to happen to Earth. It is also the closest planet to Earth so it would be possible to move there.

2. It seems to have frozen water of some sort
3. It's a similar size to the Earth, maybe a bit smaller - Venus is closer in size but too hot and full of toxic gases
4. It's not the most likely - Titan seems far more habitable... it's just very far away

∙ 14y agoBecause it is the closest to Earth in terms of survivability, and we almost have the technology to visit there. Like the Moon, it could eventually support a permanent human habitation.
