It depends based on what you like better. If u like showing off ur body do varsity cheer. But if you do varsity ur on the side lines and your not doing many stunts. Now In competitor cheer you get to do flips and REALLY REALLY cool stunts. You also have more fun and your in the spot light. But its totally up 2 u!! I do competitve cheer and i love it so much better than when i did varsity!!
I think that they should be advanced for 7th and maybe 8th but i know that it is normal for varsity and competitive cheerleading cuz i am in it..but it is way advanced for 4th-6th. hope you found the answer you are looking for (:

Level 4.2, 4, 5, 6 Um I am not sure but I am on a level 2 and we are doing tick-tocks but we are really advanced in stunts. Our cheer coach says we will get bonus points for doing them so.. I would say they are legal in lvl 2 but usually don't start till lvl 3? Yep that sounds right. (:
split stunts and twist up are really basic yet creative. as lone as the stunt group knows what they are doing the stunt should go well

I was put in the same situation and I say you should just continue on with gymnastics it is much more rewarding in the long run, I made the mistake of doing cheer in place of gymnastics and then I came back to gymnastics after cheer and i was not as good as before and my coach was wry harsh on me because of all the time i took off. Follow your heart I would talk to your parents about what you want to do. Remember, after school activities should be fun, if you're not enjoying it, why continue to pay for it?
Yes even if you dont compete the rules still apply at games and pep rallies. Rules such as you have to have mats to do basket tosses or twist down apply to everyone
