because it's really gross if you don't. think about it, everyday germs, dirt, body odor, body liquids [ if you know what i mean ]
get on your sheets. then you go and lay on it every night for about eight hours [ on a good night ]. totally revolting. then in turn it starts to smell, and sheets hold odor well, so your whole room will smell. also, you can get pink eye sleeping on dirty sheets, it doesn't take long to wash them. and it feels good when it comes out of the dryer. =]
