they have other plans for themselves,
they have gotten far behind on credits,
they give up
They are lazy
I am not sure, I suppose for some of the same reasons other countries students drop out of school. Pressure, overload, etc.
Approximately 14-23% of college students drop out after the first year due to alcohol-related issues. This can include academic difficulties, health problems, or behavioral issues stemming from excessive drinking. It's important for universities to provide education and support services to help prevent this.
30% of students drop out. 30% of students drop out.
Approximately 40% of college dropouts return to complete their degree within six years. Many factors contribute to dropouts' decisions to return, such as financial concerns, personal circumstances, and a desire to improve their career opportunities.
Some college students deteriorate their values to fit in and be well known in their community. They want to seem "cool" by their peers.
One angle to consider is that, some consider college to be a preparation for office working.
Decreasing is the opposite of increasing. When you increase something, you have more of it; when you decrease something, you have less of it. For example: we want to increase the number of students who graduate from college. We want to decrease the number of students who drop out.
Being a high school drop out isn't always bad. You can drop out and go to community college at 16, (some areas you have to be 18), and get your adult high school diploma which is the same thing your friends will get when graduating. You will save two years and be able to work full time until you go to college. It's a great loophole.
because they probably don't want an education
Because they want the "easy way out", and do not want to earn their way through
Reading some of these questions makes me wonder if some of them ever went. I think students should be able to drop out of school because they need to make their own decisons. I think that dropping out is not right but if there was a law that forbidded that then the students that wanted to drop out will probally just end up failing classes and getting into trouble.
