This only works in the case of an alternating current. The coil containing electricity produces a magnetic field; a CHANGING magnetic field induces a voltage in nearby conductors.

What will happen if a paper clip made of metal is placed in an electric circuit?

Metal is an excellent conductor of electricity. So a metal paper clip placed in an electric circuit will conduct whatever current may be in that circuit. If the current is very large, the paperclip may get hot.

How does the water get shock when you put the wire that is active?

water is a conductor of electricity so when a live wire is placed into water the current can spread out through the water.

What Created around a conductor when electrons flow through that conductor?

Whenever a charge passes through a conductor, a magnetic field is produced. Hence, whenever a current carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic filed, it will experience a force whose direction is determined by Fleming's left hand rule.

How surge current is produced in a capacitor input filter?

Being that the capacitor appears as a short during the initial charging, the current through the diodes can momentarily be quite high. To reduce risk of damaging the diodes, a surge current limiting resistor is placed in series with the filter and load.

Where are the electricity generated?

Electricity has different meanings. It means production of electric charges in one way and producing electric current the other way. In case of current there are two types: direct current and alternating current Static electric charges are produced by frictional method. Example: when we rub glass rod with a silk cloth or rubbing a plastice scale with a polythene plastic paper charges are produced. Static charges can be produced by induction method too. Ex: When a positively charged rod is brought near by a metallic sphere its near end would have negative charge and the farther end would have positive charge. This static charge is the basis for lightning process happening in between clouds and the clouds and the ground. Direct current is produced by the chemical reactions taking place in between the electrolyte and the electrodes being used. Ex: lead acid accumulator, other dry cells and chargeable alkaline cells. Now a days we use solar energy to get converted into electricity with the help of photovoltaic cells. Alternating current is generated by electromagnetic induction technique. In just a cycle dynamo by the rotating the wheels we rotate the axle of the small device in which a coil is placed in a permanent magnet. So as coil gets rotated an alternating emf is induced. But very large emf is produced in the same technique by rotation the armature in a field magnet. Such rotation will become possible with storing water at greater levels as we do in case of dams. So electricity is produced near by water reservoirs. The same rotation will be possible by passing steam under high pressure over the arcs of the wheels attached to the armatures. Production of steam is by heating. Heat is drawn from coal hence thermal electricity being produced near by coal mines. Otherwise heat is got from the fission of atomic nuclei and that is termed as nuclear reactor.

Describe as a series of steps how table salt in water makes a solution that can conduct electricity?

Table salt is NaCl, when placed in water. The elements separate into Na+ and Cl-. The + and - ions connect the electrical current.
