Anne Frank may have been scared and afraid. Anne frank knew the bad stuff going on around her. She was indeed terrified I would say but a strong one. She had to keep on being good because that was the only way to survive. She did keep a strong enough positive additude to survive but not to joyful like the world was like her life when she was born. So, i think that's why.

Anne Frank maintained a positive attitude during her time in hiding because of her strong belief in the goodness of humanity and her hope for a better future. She found solace in writing in her diary, which allowed her to express her thoughts and emotions. Despite the difficult circumstances, Anne remained optimistic and resilient, holding onto the belief that one day she would be free.

Anne Frank never let things bring her down. When they all had to stay in the office building for 2 years, while the Nazi's searched for Jews like her to put in concentration camps, she tried to make the best of it and managed to give gifts to her family. Also she still believed the Nazi's were good deep down. She had the heart to say that even when she knew what they were doing to her religion.

At first, going into hiding appealed to Anne's sense of offbeat fun and adventure, and she was initially very positive about it. The realities of never being able to leave those rooms caught up to her after they had been in hiding about 6-8 weeks, as expressed in her diary.
