Why Facebook was created?

Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook in 2004 at Harvard to have an online place for all his classmates to connect. It then was spread to other college campuses. In 2005 it opened to high schools and in 2006 it became open to all users. It has since become the most popular social networking site in the world with over 400 million users.
