King Saul was very jelous of David because god was with him and also he was Jonathans , Sauls sons best friend.
He was also jealous because God said to Saul that the will be another King to take over him.He then figured that it will be David so he asked for him to be dead.
David was by far a better king then Saul, even though David did commit adultery he repented to god.
Saul and David help make Israel and Judah a formidable kingdom. It was during David's reign that Jerusalem would become the capital.
When spirits disturbed king Saul, David who was only about 10 years old played the harp.
Ish Bosheth, the son of Saul, ruled the northern tribes for two years after Saul, while David at the same time ruled Judah and later became king over all the Israelites.
When David was chosen as the king by Samuel, Saul was king then.
Because king Saul was jealous and wanted to kill him.
1Sam:18:8: And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom? 1Sam:18:9: And Saul eyed David from that day and forward. Saul feared David had become more popular than him. He was already paranoid that someone would take the kingdom from him as the Lord, through the prophet Samuel had foretold.
King Saul was jealous of David, but Saul offered his daughter, Michal to David as a wife. David said he was too poor to give a dowry to Saul for his daughter, but Saul said he wanted no dowry, but wanted David to avenge him (Saul) upon the Philistines by bringing 100 foreskins of the enemy back to him. But Saul's motive was not what he said, but rather he wanted David to engage in battle with the Philistines in hopes that David would be killed.
Saul was jealous of David to the degree it became a blind rage. In 1 Sam 18:7 people danced singing "Saul has killed his thousands, and David his ten thousands". This infuriated Saul who wanted to kill David. Saul was also afraid of David because the Lord was with David and not him (1 Sam 18:12).
Saul David was born in 1966.
David won Michal's hand in marriage when he fulfilled King Saul's challenge to kill 100 Philistines all by himself. Michal was King Saul's daughter. King Saul hated David because he was jealous of him and was hoping that David would be killed trying to fulfill the King's request. David killed twice the number of Philistines required of the King and so Michal was given to David to be his wife. Ref: (I Samuel 18:26-30).
David married Saul's daughter Michal.
Saul og David was created in 1902.
Jonathan is of Hebrew origin and means "God has given." In the Bible, Jonathan is the son of King Saul and the best friend of David, who kills Goliath and later becomes King. In the Bible, Jonathan saves David's life when Jonathan's father King Saul becomes jealous and wants to kill David.
King David was born sometime around 1050 B.C. and died in 970 B.C. Was anointed by Samuel to be the successor to King Saul (without Saul's knowledge) because Saul had turned away from God. He became known for killing Goliath and eventually became the leader of Saul's armies. Saul became violently jealous of David's popularity and tried to have him killed, which resulted in David fleeing and going into hiding until Saul's death. When Saul died David became King of Israel and re-united all twelve tribes, reigning for about 40 years. He was succeeded by his son Solomon. I recommend reading 1&2 Samuel to get the whole story. :)
NO. However, David did marry Saul's daughter, Michal.
Saul wanted to kill David, as he saw that David was getting more popular each day.
