firstly the question: why did William duke of Normandy so clever? doesn't even make sense so how could anyone ever answer that and secondly i don't know the answer that is why i am trying to find out
yesWilliam was very skillful because when he was fighting the battle of Hastings one of his men shot a bone arrow and it hit Harold in his eye and it killed him.
he was a skillful leader because he was brave and he was good person
no the zulu king killed him
yas william did have good idears cause he thought of false retreats wich work because they broke the wall of harolds shield wall
Because he was a strong leader and had good cavalry-horsemen.
People did want William to be King because he was the best soldier at the time and was good enough to defend hiscountryfrom enemy nations.
The battle was fought between Normandy and England. The Norman ruler who engaged in the battle was William the Conqueror and the English king was King Harold II. King Harold II was killed and England lost this battle and Normandy took over rule in 1066, England begrudgingly accepted William as their king.
I can think of one, he had experience as before he won the battle of Hastings (1066) he had been Duke Of Normandy so was good at making decisions! I Need another answer too :/

Tactically, he should have done. However, he was able to take advantage of Harold's business with the Vikings at Stamford Bridge and make good his attack in late October when Harold did not anticipate it.
