The Hindenburg was originally intended to be filled with helium, but a United States military embargo on helium forced the Germans to modify the design of the ship to use highly flammable hydrogen as the lift gas. (At the time the USA was the only country that could produce helium in the amounts required.) The Germans had considerable experience with using hydrogen and implemented necessary safety measures to preempt an accident. Prior to the Hindenburg disaster, their safety record was impressive.
Hydrogen.
There is some dispute as to whether and to what degree the hydrogen caused and/or contributed to the Hindenburg disaster. The paint coating the outer skin of the airship was also highly flammable, containing powdered aluminum. Powdered aluminum is a major component of solid rocket fuel. And aslo i think that when hte hydrogen leeked the skin caught on fire and thts wat caught the Hindenburg on fire that was a horrible tradgey
The element that was inside the Hindenburg was H (Hydrogen).
mercury
To kill bacteria.
The Hindenburg used Hydrogen because the US had a monopoly on Helium. Hydrogen is by far more common than Helium or the other gases lighter than air. Since H2 is the lightest element, it has the greatest lifting capabilities. The US did not nor does it now have a monopoly on Helium it's just that the US found that He is a minor constituent of certain natural gas fields and learned to separate it from the methane ethane mixture.
This element is used for that process, and for the preparation of those compounds.
Element: He Helium.
Hydrogen is not used in blimps any longer because it is flammable and dangerous (see: Hindenberg)
there are many different theories as to why it crashed. so why ya askin! Figure it out!
Zeppelin ; the Hindenberg was a zeppelin .
mercury
the hindenberg blew up at 7.00 pm on the 6th of may 1937
To kill bacteria.
There were several captains of the Hindenberg, but the captain in charge on May 3, 1937 when the ship went up in flames was Max Pruss.

Hydrogen was once used to fill airships. Quite dangerous due to how flammable it is.
