Bilbo finds the One ring
Gandalf (The adventurous Wizard.)
Of course!! Bilbo "wondered whether he ought not, now he had the magic ring, to go back into the horrible, horrible, tunnels and look for his friends. He had just made up his mind that it was his duty, that he must turn back-and very miserable he felt about it, when he heard voices."
Bilbo is the burglar of the group, and it is his job to go and investigate the scene. In regards to the central themes: heroism, wisdom and nobility we can add the complexities of a noble thief: is this an oxymoron? And in terms of heroes it is ironic that the dwarves were sacked after rather timidly relegating the dirty-work to Bilbo. Do not expect this to change. As far as character-development goes, Bilbo is the central focus. He is growing into Gandalf's glowing pronouncement and the dwarves are‹for now, at least‹being themselves.
Once Gollum found out that he couldn't find his ring and the odd question from Bilbo about ''Whats in my pocket?'' Riddle then he though Bilbo must have the ring so he went back over to Bilbo but he was gone... really he just had the ring on so he was invisable. Gollum thought that Bilbo found the way out of the cave so he went to the Exit of the cave which techniaclly lead Bilbo to the exit so Bilbo got out by using a skill which was the skill he came up with by Gollum.Riddlesanswering riddles so Gollum won't kill him
Bilbo meets Gandalf and the Dwarves and hears of their quest. There is conversation over a fine meal and Bilbo almost thinks he wants to go. By the end of the chapter though he is not so sure.

They Went through Mirkwood
The bravest thing Bilbo did was to slide down into Smaug's cave.
The dwarves were cheerful because they had finally taken their kingdom of the Lonely Mountain after the great dragon Smaug was defeated by the Lake men. Bilbo was unhappy because when he was back at the shire, he always wished to go back and see the dwarves of the Lonely Mountain and wander the paths of Mirkwood.
The Took genes, huh? Well they created in Bilbo a certain sense of curiousity, and a love of adventure. It was that sense of adventure that finally got Bilbo to go along with the dwarves on their journey to Smaug's Mountain.
The rising action of The Hobbit is when Bilbo and his band of dwarves come to the Lonely Mountain and go inside.
They were imprisoned at the time he revealed the ring to them. Considering Bilbo used the ring to to go invisible and help them escape, it is likely that the Dwarves were grateful. Although they clearly disliked the actual method of escape (hiding in barrels which were tossed in a freezing cold river).
Initially, Bilbo wanted to go on an adventure because most hobbits have not left the Shire before. But after interacting with the dwarves throughout the journey, he soon realized that he wanted to help the dwarves reclaim their home at Erebor from the dragon Smaug the Golden.

Because Gandalf would never have let the dwarves convince Bilbo to go out scouting alone.
