I would say that he is remembered for his famous "David" statue. Its about 13 feet tall from the base to the tip of the head. It's a beautiful sculputre.

We also know that David was a very mean, secretive person.

Another work of Michelangelo is the ceiling of the Sistene Chapel. He painted the whole huge ceiling full of his interpretations of the Genesis. That's famous too.
