- Some says it because of the "Bringing Them Home" report which is selling more copies than other report.
- Some also says its because John Howard is too coward to do it so Kevin Rudd has to do it.
- Many non-Indigenous Australians signed the Sorry book.
- Thousands of non-Indigenous Australians have attended the Sorry day commemorative events.
- Over one and half million Australians walked bridges in support of the Stolen Generations and Reconciliation

∙ 13y agoKevin Rudd apologised to the stolen generation because, although it was not his fault, what happened was wrong and it was his Prime Ministerial duty to apologise.
Because the British wanted Australia to be a white colony so they took young aboriginal children from their families in order "to breed the black out of them". They are called the stolen generation and that is why Kevin Rudd apologised.
