The question should be the other way round. Calculators with the keypad in its current arrangement were widely used for decades before telephones changed from rotary dials to keypads. Perhaps this should be posted in a forum where people who know about telephones could weigh in on it.
An 'office machine' for offical purposes is a computer, laptop, fax machine, copier, printer, scanner, plotter, or any other large machine used to do business. It does not include phones or calculators.
Clever question! I think that people learn from their mistakes and often try to enhance what they have made. So, same is the case with this. Calculators were invented long before mobile phones. So, they now have ENHANCED that. It helps to decrease the distance a user will have to cover when moving to the bottom most side to press 1.Because users, usually, press numbers then operators so it would help if you start numbers from the top. Also, logically, digits start from top to bottom. --------- Yeah Its Rite Most n Appropriate Explanation. --------- No I strongly oppose it. First we have to think logically? Lemme ask this first, why does the needle move in clock wise direction, why not anti clockwise? Because what the former thing way the sundial, and it was invented in north and there the shadow goes anticlock wise. If it had been invented in south, we would have a clock with needle moving in anti-clock wise direction. Like wise, what was before calculator? It was abacus, in that the number were from 987.. so is calculator. I hope this is the most apt answer. Nothing like I appose others opinions.

The disadvantages of calculators is that they are no longer practical or convenient. Unless scientific in nature, most people use the calculators on their smart phones and wireless devices. While stand alone calculators are still in use, their popularity has immensely decreased across the nation.
Phones are not designed to airstrike.

Several cell phone providers has cell phones specifically designed for kids and teens so first check with your current provider. For young children a cellphone such as the LG Migo VX1000 would be great because you program in phone numbers like your home phone and emergency numbers.

Phones with solar would mean that the price of the phone would go up. And phones don't need solar panels because they don't pollute. Also, calculators need a very small charge to run, easily provided by a small solar cell. Cell phones need much more energy than that to power their calls.
