Caravels were able to sail against the wind while other ships could not because caravel used triangular sails not the traditional square sails. Also, the smooth, rounded hull handled high seas wells. Lastly, the large center rudder made quick turns possible.

I know this is correct because in my Social Studies class we went over it and I got it from my Social Studies Textbook. Please trust me on this. I know I'm correct (not trying to be mean or anything).

Thank You and Have a Fantastic Day (:

What made the caravel a good ship for exploration?

Some reasons why the caravel was a good ship for exploration were that they were agile and easier to navigate, with a tonnage of 50 to 160 tons and 1 to 3 masts, with lateen triangular sails allowing beating.Being smaller and having a shallow keel, the caravel could sail upriver in shallow coastal waters. With the lateen sails attached, it was highly maneuverable and could sail much nearer the wind, while with the square Atlantic-type sails attached, it was very fast.

Well, back then people used the traditional square sails. So when the Caravel was built they used triangular sails instead of the traditional square sails which made the ship able to sail against the wind.

What is more important to a ship a caravel astrolabe or magnetic compass?

Both the caravel astrolabe and the magnetic compass are important navigation tools for a ship, but the magnetic compass is generally considered more crucial. The compass provides a reliable and constant indication of the ship's direction, allowing for accurate navigation even when visibility is limited. The caravel astrolabe, on the other hand, is used to measure the altitude of celestial objects to determine latitude, and while it is helpful for navigation, it is not as essential as the magnetic compass.

It is unlikely that they could file a valid criminal complaint against the other inmate but you could file an internal complaint with the jail administration.

Whats' part of a caravel?

A caravel has a keel, a hull, a bow, a stern, an amidships, a main deck, a below decks, a bilge, a captain's quarters, a forecastle, a galley, ship's lockers, anchor(s), spare lines, sails, masts, a captain, and a crew. They usually have a spirit, too ;) but that has to be felt while operating her.

Can one parent press charges against the other while they are still married?

yes

How would you describe a caravel?

First, you would do your research and find a photograph or drawing of one. A caravel is a type of sailing ship. Read about caravels and find out as much as you can about them.Second, use your writer's abilities to describe: what would the reader see, hear, smell, or feel when they were aboard a caravel? What would one look like from a distance? How do they travel through the waves on the ocean? You may need to do a bit more research at this point if you don't know anything about sailing or sailing ships. Finally, cut out any long-winded descriptions and sprinkle your description among the actions in your scene. Have your characters experience the caravel while they're doing whatever you have them doing.
