Wet surfaces are more slippery because the coating of liquid acts as a lubricant which reduces the frictional forces exerted between objects in contact. Thus, the magnitude of the forces opposing motion are lessened to some extent.
Water can make a flat surface more slippery, which will decrease the amount of friction
Because of friction and the surface it's on .if it's on a flat, slippery surface then it will have less friction and more acceleration. Therefore it is because of friction.
Polish would most likely smooth the surface creating less friction and making it more slippery.
because the lubricant on the surface which makes it slippery reduces the friction b/w the surface and ur feet!! !!
because the rough surface is wet and a road is not :)

it is a common misconception to believe that wet leaves are more slippery then ice, but statistics show that your car is more likely to slide on ice then wet leaves and more crashes are caused by ice related sliding then wet leaves.

yes of-course,because the moisture content doesn't provide grip and surface is also slippery in case of wet grass.so,we can run faster in dry grass which is less slippery and provide more gripness.
The green moss was most slippery when it was wet.
It refers to the surface of an object that is difficult to hold or stand on because it is smooth or wet. Or of a person who is unreliable, unpredictable or elusive
Bon Jovi was the only band recorded on Slippery When Wet

Yes, quite slippery. Never use a High Gloss finish on a walking surface that may get wet! It is better to use a Paint made for this purpose, that has a 'Grit' mixed in with it. This gives the surface a 'BITE' into the soles of shoes or whatever comes in contact with it.
bon jovi
The grooves (treads) are there to give better grip (like car tyres) on wet and slippery surfaces.
