because it can not be recycled again.

Answer:

Plastic is a strange one in the area of renewability.

In most cases it is made from oils and natural gas which are nonrenewable (do not naturally regenerate their supply) however alternate plastics can be made from starches or cellulose which is a renewable source of raw materials as they are derived from plants. The original plastic, natural cellulose, is a totally renewable material.

Plastic, even the nonrenewable type is environmentally sensitive in many ways as it is non toxic and can be recycled through several uses before being sent for disposal or used as fuel.

Because most plastics are made from byproducts of oil refining. Since oil is not a renewable resource, then plastic is not either.
