Why wont my cheats work for sims 2 PC?

Well first of all you have to open the console do that by hitting the ` key then typing in the cheat. if that dose not work you might be trying to use a fake cheat.( this is for the PC I don't know if there is the Sims 2 for the PS2 or any other system.

whoever typed that above this doesn't know what their talking bout you press ctrl+shift+c to open the command prompt.

Well it depends if you are typing the cheats in right really. If that is the case then here are some cheats that are guaranteed to work:

'boolprop testingcheatsEnabled true' All other cheats will work

'moveObjects on' you can pick up things you couldn't before

'boolprop carsCompact' cars will have more detail

'motherlode' (only enter this cheat in gameplay) 50,000 simoleons

Another reason might be that you are typing in the small dashes (at the beginning and the end of the cheat) in with the cheat. If you are doing this then try to remember to type the cheats in WITHOUT the small dashes.

But if these solutions aren't the problem then you may have to ask the EA team.

They are probably not working because you might be using the wrong cheat, or if you have a Mac, you have to have the Mac cheats. Open the cheat box and type something random. it will say an error. This keeps the box from closing each time you use a cheat. Then type in help and press enter. It gives a list of available cheats. Remember, some cheats require something to happen first. Like forcetwins, the sim has to be pregnant first.
