The dome light won't go out because one of the plastic door switches is bad. This switch is the one that controls the lights when the door is shut. It is probably the driver side door switch. Go to the dealer the switch is about 10 dollars. I have replaced mine on my 2000 Neon at least 10 times in 5 years. It is an easy fix. Good luck. The dome light switch on a 2005 Dodge Neon is located on inside the door jab. It is tucked away inside, tracing the wires of the switch is the best way to find its placement.

Do you mean the dome light? If so just pop off the cover with a flat head screw driver and pull out the bulb
it is in the door side panel under the regular fuses it is the relay on the left hand side. in my neon it was green. you may have to remove part of the dash to get the relay out.

It is possible that the dome light needs to be replaced on the Dodge Neon if the odometer is flashing the word fuse. If the car is also not starting this could be caused by a bad starter or bad battery.

Is the dome light burnt out? Mine said FUSE a lot until I replaced the dome light and then it stopped. Check the fuse labeled IOD in the under hood fuse box for being burnt or mis-installed.

You can remove the dome light, in your 2000 Chevy Tahoe, by inserting a small screwdriver into the locking slot. Gently pry downward with the screwdriver.
