They should but if your PS2 Slimline won't read PS2 games, then the red laser inside probably burned out.
I suggest buying a new one
No. Since the ps3 is much more advanced then ps2, it wont be able to play it. Think of it like this. If you look at ps1, you cant play ps2 games there because ps2 games are too advanced to be played from ps1. Same applies for ps3 to ps2
Yes (both PS1 and PS2) if you have the 60gb version. The 40 wont. Please note you can play PS1 games through your PS3, on your PSP (remote play) but not yet PS2 games.
no it can not u need 2 ether have both or it wont work
you get someone to look at it
kingdom hearts could PROBABLY play on older versions of the ps3 but it wont work on ps3 slim(i have 1 myself and it dosent play ps2 games, only ps1 games)
Only 20GB and 60Gb can play PS2 and PS1 games, Because it's fully backwards compallibility. The 120GB, 160Gb, 250Gb, and 320GB which there all slim versions of PS3 wont play both PS2 and PS1 games especially 80GB which is not slim. Bad news is all stores in the USA doesn't sale no more old PS3 versions which is 20GB, 60GB, and 80GB. Sorry guys! ok so what this guy ^ up there said isint all wrong but there is a free system update you can download from the PS store that lets you play PS2 and PS games keep in mind that you need an internet connection to your PS3
Depending on the model, the ability for the PlayStation 3 to play PlayStation 2 games can be seriously impaired or missing. The first PlayStation 3s (20 GB) contained the hardware to run PS2 games natively. 60 GB models NTSC also support PS2 games natively. 80 GB NTSC models with 4 USB ports can run PS2 games via emulation. 80 GB models with 2 USB ports, as well as all 160 GB models are completely incompatible with PS2 titles. If you absolutely need PS2 compatibility without purchasing a PS2 (which would probably be cheaper), purchase a 60 GB model. Actually all ps3s can play ps2 games on them no matter what the gb. I have a 40gb ps3 and i play ps3 games on it all the time. But you have to go to the playstation store and download the free ps2 content to play ps2 games on a ps3.
your ps2 should play ps1 games but if yours dosent go see with the store you bought it with
That is illegal to download games for consoles and wont be discussed here
Hi For a start are the games you are referring to playstation format because ps2's only play ps1 and ps2 games if it is ps2 format check the disc is in good condition if its badly scratched it wont play or you ps2 could be broken therefore i suggest you get a cheap replacement of just the console. Hope this was helpful
No, They wont. The PlayStation 2 is An Outdated Console, and as many know, Rarely any games come out after 5+ years, so Sorry but No.
I bought a halo reach ntscj and my xbox360 is pal and slim. I was afraid that my halo reach wont work in my 360 but tried it anyway. It worked, but I haven't tested it with other ntscj games.
