There are a number of reasons why your power will not raise or lower a front seat. It may be that your power source is not properly connected or that a motor has died.
No.
there is a fabric pull loop (similar to seat belt material) hidden within the upper and lower seat in the middle of the lower seat. gently slide a finger between the upper and lower seat and locate the pull loop. pull the loop up and the lower seat will release and move up and toward the front seat.
ctrl + Q and ctrl + shift + Q
Fold seat down flat. Pull on seat's back outer lever tab to release the seat's back catches. Seat back tilts up toward front. With seat tilted up, 45 or 50 degrees, reach lower level at front bottom of seat, not the latch to slide seat forward and backward. This front lower level releases the seat's front catches Pull set up and out. NOTE: Front has both a pronged piece that does not allow seat to be removed in the full tilted forward position.
Move down? Yes, there is a level on the left side of the seat that you need to pump down to lower the seat and pump up to raise it.
There are two latches on each side in front. Raise up on these (sometimes you will need a bar to get them loose). Then raise up on the front of the seat, then go in back and slide the seat back to get loose from back hooks. It is best to fold down the back of the back seat first. It is usually a two person job.
This question should be, how to raise and lower rear seats. There is no pull cord for either of the rear seats -- only for the front passenger seat. Each of the rear seats has a knob located on the the top corner. Lift the knob to adjust the seat (lower or raise). that is how mine works. In addition, if you join the GM community, you will have access to the downloadable Owner's Manual (pdf) with pictures.
Slide seat back as far as it will go.Look under the middle of the front of the seat and you will find a acorn nut and bolt ,remove same.Lift/raise the seat slide handle up and push the seat back off the center slider. Note there is a spring loaded pin up front that will release the seat fully and then lift the sucker out
most of the time you can tap on the front motor under the seat, lower front and it will work temporary you must pull seat out to replace motor
It is located under the rear seat. The seat is easily removed by lifting sharply on the lower front lip of the seat.
* Working at the front of each seat cushion push the retaining tabs in then lift up on the front edge of the cushion and release the seat cushion retaining tabs. Remove the cushion from cushion from the vehicle * Detach the retaining bolts at the lower edge of the seat back * Lift up on the lower edge of the seat back and remove it from the car
On a 79/80 Deville there are nuts under the seat that have to be loosened and be careful of the power seat wires and mechanisms under the Seat.
