It is not a legally valid document if it is not signed. Without a sign the bank has no way to verify if the account holder issued a cheque or was it stolen from him. A Signature is a proof to the bank that the account holder issued the cheque as a binding instrument to pay another person.
No. The bank will require a valid identity proof if you want cash for the check. However, if you want to deposit it into your bank account, the bank wont as for any Id. They will accept the check and credit cash into your account as soon as your check gets paid by the issuing bank.
No. A stop payment can be issued only before the check payment is made by the bank. If you try a stop payment after the bank has paid for the check, the bank wont accept it because the stop payment instruction is useless now and cannot be executed.
The person who issued the cheque can issue the stop payment on the cheque. As long as the check isn't submitted for payment yet, you can issue the stop payment request. But, if the check is already paid the bank will not accept the stop payment. A point to note is that, the person to whom you gave the check can prosecute you legally for doing so because he wont get paid for the check
Mostly No. Every check has a validity period usually 90 or 180 days depending on the check type and issuing institution. So if you deposit a check after 6 months, most probably it wont get paid. It is called a Stale or Expired check and the bank does not have to pay you for that check.
The bank cannot do that. Any customer of the bank who wants to deposit a bank draft into their account can do that. A bank cannot refuse to accept a customer's draft for deposit. You have the right to deposit it with any bank that you have an account with (unless it is a fake draft).

It completely depends on the school and its selectivity. Some schools will accept you with a 900(reading and writing) on the SAT and a 2.5 GPA and some wont accept you with a 4.5 and a 1400. Check The Princeton Review for specific school requirements.

Yes, you can do that. A power of attorney gives you enough rights to do such an action like depositing your sons check into your account. If you dont have a power of attorney - first the bank wont accept the check and second you'll be jailed for forgery
You can't. Just accept it wont happen.
