It's probably "blow-by", a condition where the exhaust gasses blow past collapsed rings. If you haven't kept the oil properly changed, you may have built up carbon around the rings and they may not be able to make a good seal. Once that happens, you get blow-by and you loose seals and have other problems.

in ford f150 the u-jounts on the steering shaft get stuck. Use WD40 to help loosen them. Toyota camry's too!

The Special Accessories Drive Shaft...runs from engine to front of vehicle to drive fan, ac pump, alternator etc.

There are a total of 5 grease fittings 3 on the rear drive shaft and 2 on the front drive shaft (4x4model)

The block heater in a Toyota Highlander can be reached by going through the left wheel-well, toward the drive shaft. It is seated in a hole in front of the rear drive shaft, and can be seen clearly from underneath the vehicle.
