The check engine light came on. Took it to a mechanic who said usually it means the catalytic converter is going bad but if that were the case, the car would be performing poorly.. would have no "get up and go" and might have a rotten egg odor. Since that was not the case, he said the sensor was shot, needs a new sensor.
