If you get bitten, don't try to get it off of you,
or yank his head back because their fangs are
curved like hooks.
Grab it either side of its chin and push its head forward
(so his fangs are out of you) and get him/her off you.
Royal/Ball pythons are a very docile species of snake that rarely bite. They usually will roll up into a tight ball hiding their head when scared/threatened. Hence the name Ball Python. Their gentle nature is why they are such a popular pet.

Yes. Ball pythons are affectionate snakes and they will show it if you keep good care of them.
Ball python's are not dangerous at all. I've had mine for over 10 years, she's 5.5 Feet long. She is the nicest snake ever. I have never been bitten by her once in 10 years. The only way you get them to bite you is if you disturb them during feeding. Or you be mean to them. But other then that they are the perfect first snake. You are definitely right. I haven't had mine very long but I know everything there is to know about them. But, they barely ever bite if you're mean to them, only if your hands smell like their food.
The Cleveland Reptile Show has blood pythons, such as the ball pythons.
