It could have been psycological abuse. You could have made her feel like she was not worth anything and maybe put her down alot and made her have low self esteem. But the fact that you are writing here and asking makes me think that you are a nice guy just wanting his marriage to work. Maybe she said it and did not mean it. Good luck and God Bless you both:)
