Why was Robert hooke's discovery was important?

His discovery led to this improvement in science. He studied a dead cork [cell] and saw that it had many similar compartments that looked like holding cells, therefore the name Cells came to be. Robert Hooke saw the compartments with a special microscope that he built and invented. This microscope, however, was no where near as strong as the microscopes that we have today in our modern day technological lives. This is pretty much all that I can think of off of the top of my head, so BYE!!!

Why the hooks are important to insects?

The hooks are important to an insect because for some insects lke the ants need to use it to climb and the hooks makes it easier for it to reach to the top as the hooks can hook on the object so that the ant can climb faster without having to slip and tryagain if they doesn't have any hooks.the hooks are usually situated on the arms or/and legs. For other insects like the praying mantis, they use it to grasp on the prey to eat.
