Twilight is a book mainly for teens. Many pre-teens are reading it anyway. The first book in the Twilight Saga is fine for any of those ages. It's really just a romance story that most people are reading or have read. The book isn't challenging as such, but the most recent book, Breaking Dawn, is more mature and harder to understand. The movie is great, though if you don't like blood, leave for the ending.
as to start with the books came out about a year apart they grew with the reader for example if you were12 when you read the first that would be suitble and 15 is suitable for breaking dawn even though i was 12 when i read it i dont know weather others would find it suitble i found it ok however.
"Twilight" has been challenged due to concerns about its sexual content, portrayal of relationships, and potential influence on young readers. Some critics argue that the book promotes unhealthy relationships and romanticizes dangerous behavior.
yes it was challenged in California but that's all i know

It's not even sure IF it's going to come out - see question 'How would I see when the fifth book of twilight would come out?'
Divergent has been challenged.
No I don't belive so I'm a huge fan to the series and would die for a 6th book to but I think Midnight Sun (twilight in Edward's point of view) will be he last twilight book. But, if you are looking for another vampire book to read Vampire Kisses is an O.K book compared to twilight.
Ummm............ The movie? Or the book? I would say America has the best twilight movie!!
Romance and Drama/Thriller.
