In "The Giver," the community values sameness as a way to control individual behaviors and eliminate uncertainty and conflict. This helps maintain order and stability within the society. The community believes that by eliminating differences and emotions, they can create a more harmonious and controlled environment.

Jonas believes that the community is not right and that it is not normal like the other community. He thinks that it isn't right for everything to be perfect and that they should not control them.

The reason they are in sameness is because if everything is the same, it will be easier for the elders to keep them under control. Also, if every thing is the same, nobody will be smart enough to think out of the box and come up with a rebellion, not includingthe giver or receiver of memories. they only teach the citizens enough to do there jobs and raise a family that they don't even make themselves.

Does Jonas from The Giver fit in with his community?

He would leave the community. And think so that no one finds him.

In the giver what is the giver's plan?

The Giver's plan is to teach Jonas about the true history and memories of the community in order to pass on the burden of those memories to Jonas and ultimately guide him to bring about change and restore emotion and color back to their world.

Why is the giver prohibited from asking to be released?

The Giver can only ask for release when he has given all his memories to Jonas. If he were to get released sooner, all the memories he had currently would be spread throughout the Community. Since the Community lives its life with no color, sound, feelings, or memories, if what the Giver had in his mind got released, the Community would turn to chaos. That is also why Jonas can't ask for release.

What was the givers plan for changing in the community?

The Giver's plan was to let Jonas attempt to reach Elsewhere. When Jonas left the community, all the memories that were given to him by the Giver would have returned back to the community. When the community had these memories, they hoped that their way of life would be change.

What is their plan for creating change in the community in the giver?

They were ready to make a plan of change because The Giver was tired of having the community be emotionless, and trying to hide the true outlook and the joy of life while having babies being killed right under there eyes and not doing anything about it.

What should happen if The Receiver die in The Giver?

If the Receiver were to die in "The Giver," the memories and knowledge passed on to him would be lost. The community would not have anyone to guide and advise them based on the memories, potentially leading to a lack of wisdom and understanding of the past. Additionally, the future of the community would be uncertain without the Receiver's ability to pass on important information.

What would the giver say had happened to Jonas?

The Giver would say that Jonas had escaped to Elsewhere, which suggests that he had left the community to start a new life beyond its limits. The Giver would likely emphasize the freedom and potential for growth that Jonas now had outside of their controlled society.

In the giver when was color lost?

The Giver (old Receiver of Memory) felt that the community had made a number of mistakes. He demonstrates this by helping Jonas escape, knowing that he would be taking the memories with him, and that with his death and not having given the memories to anyone else, they would return to the community.
