My 96 corsica does the same thing, so maybe this will help: I have a small coolant leak, and I have to put more antifreeze in quite regularly. when my coolant level is too low, my heat stops working. try checking your coolant levels, remember to use universal or dexcool.
Replace your heater selector switch
Is it blowing cold air only or not blowing any air at all.
Most likely you have a vacume leak under the dash.Check for lines off or broken. They will harden and crack with excessive heat, such as in the engine compartment.
The "heat maker" is broken. :(
Need to know if the blower is working or not and if the air coming out is hot, warm or cold.
AnswerI would replace the control module in the distributor; they are heat sensitive. If that doesn't fix it, try replacing the oxygen sensor.
There maybe air in your collant system and/or you need to flush and clean your heater core. Check your rad cap it may not be holding the pressure right and lettting air in,also check the heat regulator and the door might need to be reset.
1)antifreeze level is 2 low 2)heater core is plugged and needs to be cleaned. 3)vent controls are not operating properly. 4)heat is not turned on. 5)fuse is blown for heater control.
