I might not be sure but I read that if the moon was gone then the tides would be affected. Also then the earth wouldn't have a natural satellite. Then just to follow that, I also read that the earth's rotation would be totally out of control. We could go from winter to summer in maybe a month and the seasons would be out of order. Antarctica might actually be with out snow for a period of time and we could have random weather patterns. Hope this helps!

It depends on the friends personality. If the friend in question was critical and not open minded then no I wouldn't because I hate when people around saying stuff about a book that they haven't even really read. Twilight sounds really shallow if you explain it to someone, but it is something else entirely to read the book... Anyway, i the friend is open minded and doesn't shun mythology and fairytails then yes I would recommend it. Hope I didn't confuse you =)
